描述
This is a single-attack game, the earliest printed descriptions of which date back to the 19th century.During the game, the players place the cards from their hands into an open deck in the center of the table. The goal of the game is to get rid of all your cards. A player who cannot make a move must draw one or more cards from the top of the deck. The player who plays all his cards wins. The player who has the remaining cards is considered the loser.
Each player chooses a trump suit before dealing the cards. The cards of the player's trump suit can be used to beat any card of any other suit.
The game can be played with artificial intelligence or with an online opponent in multiplayer mode.
The player starting the game places any card face up in the center of the table to start the playing deck. The next player has two options:
- A player can beat the top card of the game stack by playing a higher card of the same suit or by playing one of his trumps on a card of a different suit. After doing this, the player must play another card on top of it; this second card can be any card of the player's choice. Both the beating card and the second card are placed face up on the top of the game stack.
- A player who cannot beat the top card of the game stack must instead take some cards from the top of the game stack. These cards are added to the player's hand. Then the turn goes to the opponent, who can either beat the top card of the remaining game pile, or take cards from this pile.
Note that it is not necessary to "follow suit". If the top card in the deck is not one of your own trumps, you can always beat it by playing one of your own trumps, even if you have cards of the same suit as the top card in your hand. A card of your own trump suit can only be beaten by playing a higher card of your own trump suit. When you beat a card, it doesn't matter if the card belongs to the trump suit of the person who played it — only your own trumps have any special power in your turn.
If you cannot beat the top card of the stack when it is your turn to do so, you must draw this card and other cards from the stack as follows:
- If the top card of the stack is not one of your trumps, you take the top three cards from the stack or the entire stack if there are three or fewer cards in it.
- If the top card of the stack is one of your trumps, except for the ace, you take the top five cards from the stack or the entire stack if there are five or fewer cards in it.
- If the top card of the stack is an ace of your trump suit, you must take the entire stack.
After a player picks up, it's the next player's turn. If there are still one or more cards in the pile, this player must beat the now open top card of the pile or pick it up as if this card had been withdrawn. If the entire stack has been taken, the next player simply displays any individual card, as at the beginning of the game.
The goal of the game is to get rid of all your cards. When a player runs out of cards, he wins the game, and his opponent loses. If the last player in the game has only one card that can be used to beat the previous player's kara, then the game ends in a draw.
